Some authors believe they’ll achieve bestseller status if they can just find the one miracle tactic and do it for a day.

It’s a false belief, fostered by a culture that believes that success comes from that once-in-a-lifetime miracle – like hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th – instead of applying daily effort to your book marketing plan.

We can write the best book in the history of writing, but if we don’t apply persistence to our book marketing efforts, nobody will ever see it.

There is no participation trophy for book marketing but there is a crown of glory for those who persevere until they succeed.
