Words are arrows in the quiver of your Author Toolset. They are your potential, your possibility and your power.

Words are your tools of emotion, meaning and context.

Words are the deepest expression of who you are, what you believe and why you believe it.

And that’s why they can terrify the unsuspecting writer who hasn’t fully explored the art and craft of writing.

Your word choices determine whether your arrow will strike fast, or arc high in the air before they drop down to make your point on an unsuspecting mind.

Your word choices determine if your arrow will pierce deeply into your reader and touch their heart, or your whether they bounce off the armor of their mind.

Your word choices also determine whether your arrow misses your target entirely, or are picked up and fired back at you.

But we can master our desire to step into the world in courage and faith.

We can practice our craft daily so we gain speed, confidence and precision in our writing.
