We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons. -Jim Rohn

Discipline is the consistent and deliberate effort to overcome your own negative thoughts, including, “I don’t feel like it” or “I don’t feel inspired right now.”

This is why I urge you to schedule your writing sessions and embrace personal integrity, which simply means:

I will do what  I said I would do

When I said I would do it

Whether I feel like it or not.

This builds a disciplined writing habit that is guaranteed to get your book written.

Your Daily Writing Habit plus Momentum equals Your Published Book. Share on X

1. Create a writing schedule that fits your life

2. Set specific word count goals for each session

3. Commit to this schedule and show up for your writing appointments

When you do, you will write and publish your book. It’s inevitable.

This is called taking “extreme ownership” of your success.

Extreme Ownership means you:

– stop making excuses

– start making time to write every day

– set a deadline for your first draft and

– meet that deadline (or beat it)

This mindset will take you far in writing and in life because every good thing in your life comes through doing the right things repeatedly until you succeed.
