The only way we can make the most of our lives is to make the most of our moments.

To maximize my NOW – the only moment that exists – I must do what’s put in front of me to do, whether I feel like it or not.
Writing this post may not be my heart’s desire, but it is the thing I know I must do if I’m to be of service to you.
My feelings are irrelevant.
My actions are not.
[bctt tweet=”To tap into this power, I must forget everything that’s not relevant. I must focus on setting the mental frame of success.”]
Yes, I made the decision I would write today, but I made that decision some time ago because I knew that writing today would best serve my long-term interests.
So I scheduled today’s writing session without caring how I would feel in this moment. It simply it didn’t matter.
I knew I would show up, do what I said I would do, whether I felt like it or not.
This habit, years in the making, serves me well.
My past experience informs my present actions.
I know that whatever I feel changes the moment I begin to write.
In that sense, I automate my willingness in this moment.
I made this writing time a priority in my schedule.
I set a specific goal, too. Write 7 posts in 2 hours.
This clear target is easy to hit, and that makes it easy for me to be successful.
