Don’t wait for the perfect moment to write your book. The perfect moment doesn’t exist.

Since this book is on your heart to write, just do this.

  • 1. Start. (Yes, just start)
  • 2. Use the best tool available to write your book
  • 3. You will develop the skills required as you go

Set a 10-minute timer and brainstorm your outline. Reset the timer and hang some meat on its bones and call it DONE.

Is it perfect? Nope. Not even close.

Does that matter?

Nope. Not one bit.

Your first draft is just that – your FIRST draft.

Your job today is to write it.

Don’t get hung up on process or tools.

The tool you use to write your first draft is irrelevant.

Longhand in a notebook?

Great!

Typed using your favorite word processor?

Great!

Spoken and recorded on your phone?

Great!

Embrace whatever process works best for you. Change halfway through if required.

The tool doesn’t matter.

That you get your words out of your head and onto the page?

That matters.
