Fear of a stranger’s judgement can stop you from turning your book dream into your published reality.
This fear of being judged destroys your creative joy as well as your passion to help others with your gifts.
Years ago, one young woman posted that she was terrified at the thought of hitting Publish. I asked why.
Embrace Your Impact: Release the Fear of Judgment and Share Your Book Share on X“How many people are reading your book right now?”
“None.”
“Since you’re already living your biggest fear this very moment, what have you got to lose?”
She published her book the next day. And an entire series over the next 6 months.
If you struggle with the idea of being judged, attack this from another angle.
Replace two phrases in the sentence, “I’m afraid I’ll be judged for my book.”
- “afraid” with “grateful” and “judged for” with “transformed by”
“I’m grateful someone will be transformed by my book.”
Make this your mantra every morning, noon and night for the next 30 days. See if you’re blessed with these two results.
- You become excited about writing, finishing and publishing your book; and
- You can’t wait to get your book into the hands of the individual whose life will be transformed by it.
Attitude is everything on Fear-Free Friday, to be sure, but every other day of the week too.
