The best book in the world will never see the light of day without a great marketing plan.

The crappiest book in the world can become a bestseller with a great marketing plan.

Yes and No.

Yes, because anyone willing to do the hard work of marketing their book day after day after day deserves success. They’ve earned it.

No, because there are too many crappy books out there already, and good ones deserve to be noticed.

Your Number One job as an author – even before your book is finished – is to market your book effectively to the people most likely to read it; the people most likely to be helped by it.

The good news is a lot of the research required to write your book can also be used to market your book.
